see everyday for the first time.

for erin wohletz’s solo show at ipso, the famous internship team was challenged to create an identity that reflected their work: explorations of society, norms, and community at large from the lens of a queer, nonbinary person living in south dakota. erin is a phenomenal printmaker who collages many methods and mediums into one piece. we landed on the name off-shoot, connecting to the massive amount of wires and pipes and line forms that break and connect in erin’s work, as well as the idea of not quite fitting into what people expect of you.

along the items created were a poster, postcard, various digital assets, as well as a window paint design and a screenprinted “tangie” (fresh produce’s term for a take home, tangible item).

beyond digital and print applications, we also got a hand in deciding what treats would be served at the reception. this meant funfetti cupcakes with pansies on top, a vase overflowing with bendy rope candies, and a platter of root vegetable cruidités. overall, a wonderful experience in art direction and exhibition.
