motherhood was prompted by a digital production class. each page goes along with the lyrics of big thief’s song great white shark, a song from the perspective of a mother being terrified of bringing her child into an unstable world. i emphasized the multiple interpretations of different words in the song, with this being the main design focus. the zine features photos of myself and the matriarchs of my direct family.
